The Weightless Mass team on ISS!!

The results of the evaluation of the works for the contest The European Astro Pi challenge: Code your ISS Experiment have been announced and 45 teams have been selected to run their experiments on ISS.

Our school team goes on?

During the next days its code will be loaded on the AstroPi, which is on the ISS, and will ?run? to complete both of its missions.

The first mission, as has been set by the organizers of the contest, was to detect the presence of the astronauts in the Columbus module.

The second mission, as it was proposed by our team, was twofold:

?  To warn the crew of the ISS when it is located over areas where the magnetic field of the Earth does not sufficiently protect them.

?  To calculate the period of the orbit of the ISS around the Earth
